How to uninstall SQL Server 2012 from Windows Server 2012 R2

1) Click on the Start Button and choose "Control Panel"

2) Choose Uninstall a Program

3)Locate Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (64x) and right click - choose "uninstall/change"

4) Choose to "Remove"

5) Allow the Setup Support Rules to "check" and verify all tests to Pass.

Click "OK"

 

6) Choose the SQL Server instance to remove. In this example, we'll be removing "StreetFighter"

Choose "Next"

 

7) Remove all of the features that you would like to uninstall. In this example, I will uninstall all features.

Choose "Next"

 

8) A set of rules will be ran to verify the acceptance of removing SQL Server.

9) A summary of the SQL server features and removal feature will be presented. Once all features for removal look correct for you, click the "Remove" button.

10) The removal process will begin. This can take several minutes.

11) After the removal process has completed, you will be presented with a screen that summarizes the successful completion of uninstalling SQL Server 2012.

Choose "Close". Verify that all services have been correctly removed and view in the uninstall programs that all SQL Related products have been removed correctly.
